Ahhh!

I ran my 4.01 miles in 36:21.

This is how all my runs look on my nikeID- I am thinking of switching over to the Garmin however, since my watch was a little off in the half... What running tools are your favorites?

It's crazy to think since I bought this watch last summer I have spent 135 hours running (nearly 6 days!) and traveled 612 miles. I wonder how far exactly 612 miles is? I mapquested a few places, and from Grosse Pointe to Chattanooga, TN is 626 miles! In a few more miles I could have ran to Tennessee! Funny to think of it like that.

The run was great! Now I'm drinking protein, going to do some sit ups, yoga stretches then shower and head to Winter Park! I think I'll be fine for the 5k tomorrow.

Fiddler's Green 5k!

My fiddler is ready! Time to shake some shamrocks! Kiss me I'm Irish! These are the only Irish terms I know. But yes, I signed up! For the Fiddler's Greek 5k in my new favorite town of Winter Park!

I wanted to do a St. Patty's run. AND I have a green shirt to wear tomorrow! Perfect!

I am going to Winter Park today for lunch or dinner to get my race stuff. I'm excited! The money benefits the Special Olympics of Florida. Wish me luck, I haven't ran all week! Off to my run (for real) now.

Happy Friday!

WOW I was sleepy! It was so nice to go to sleep knowing I could sleep in the next day. I can't believe I only have less than a week left of my Orlando adventure, it is FLYING by and I'm loving every minute. I woke up at 9:30 AM today, which gave me a nice 9 hours of sleep! I just ate some breakfast: organic greek yogurt, flax seeds, strawberries, blueberries with a little granola on top and now I am just letting it settle a minute before getting ready for a RUN! The weather is absolutely perfect, 75 and sunny- I can't even imagine better running weather.

Look what I found on my phone- it's the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival and it was quite impressive, however my favorite was this little guy. POOH BEAR!

I am debating right NOW if I'm going to do the run or not tomorrow, basically once I hear if my friend is coming tonight or tomorrow I'll make the decision! Happy Friday!

Magic Kingdom and Epcot

We started a little later today. We didn't leave the house until about 9 AM which we knew was a mistake, because usually at the parks you can get 5X as much done in the early AM or PM than you can the entire day! We had another lucky day of perfect weather and little to no lines though. Highlights at Magic Kingdom include Space Mountain, Mickey's PhilharMagic, and Splash Mountain. Epcot favorites are Soarin' (Get B1 for your seating, best seats in the room!), The Seas With Nemo and Friends, and Mission:Space. Mission Space has a g force feeling and is actually the same feeling as skydiving!

We had lunch at Frontier Land in the Magic Kingdom. I ordered a Taco salad and topped it with veggies from the veggies and sauce bar including tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, salsa, cheese and onions. By the time I was finished with all the toppings I barely touched the meat and taco bowl and gave it to my brother to eat! He had a cheeseburger (with fries) and I think the value at frontier land is pretty good since you get all the toppings for free. Our two lunches cost about $17. You can order ice water for FREE anywhere in the parks!

I am exhausted! Two FULL days at the parks. All four parks covered, every ride imaginable and the distance we walked? I can't even imagine. However, I am REALLY looking forward to running tomorrow! I haven't ran since Sunday and I can't wait for tomorrow! I am still debating about the 5k Saturday morning. For now, it's BEDTIME!

Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios

The only workout I had today was WALKING. And LOTS OF IT! My brother and I conquered Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. I woke up at 7:30 AM to prepare for our Disney day. We left the house today around 8:45 AM and didn't get back home until 8 PM. We went to the Animal Kingdom lodge first to park our car before Animal Kingdom since we planned on eating at Sanaa. It worked out great! We parked for FREE at the hotel, took the bus to Animal Kingdom and started our day. Animal Kingdom was not very crowded, and we got to go to everything we wanted. My favorites of the day were Festival of the Lion King and the Expedition Everest. We were able to walk on the Expedition Everest twice on the "single riders" line, and we were right on time for the Lion King show!

I knew exactly what I wanted at lunch, I visited this restaurant last May and really enjoyed the lamb. My brother ordered a burger, and was disappointed it didn't come with fries or a side considering it was over $12, but nonetheless it was really good! Also the view is amazing, there are zebras and giraffes right outside the window!
After lunch we headed to Hollywood Studios. My favorites are Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror. We also watched a documentary about Walt Disney that was pretty interesting. Visiting Disney just makes me want to be a part of it and work there all that much more!
This is pretty cool, it was a small model of Tokyo Disney Sea. It was awesome, because I've been there!
I'm exhausted and I need to plan our day for tomorrow. We don't know if we are going to do Magic Kingdom and Epcot or go straight to HARRY POTTER! We are going to plan it right now. Today was a lot of fun, great weather, no lines, fun times with my brother and of course DISNEY!

I am considering doing a 5K Saturday to benefit the Special Olympics here in Winter Park (my new favorite city). I'll keep you updated!

In love... with Winter Park!

I spent the day at a city I have heard quite a bit about. Winter Park, Florida. It was the cutest little place ever! There were boutiques, restaurants and the cutest stores! I loved it.
My ankle is feeling better, and I'm definitely not as sore as I was the day I ran the 12 miles on the track. I feel great, actually! My legs a little bit, but I walked around a lot today and it wasn't bothersome.

I am waiting to pick up my brother from the airport, I have about a hour before he gets in. I am trying to plan our Disney day for tomorrow. Where to eat lunch? What park to go to first? Where to park? I need to figure out the plans so I have a good idea. I don't like the saying "play it by ear".

Tomorrow is going to be 78 degrees! I don't think I could think of better weather than that for our big day! I am currently watching Charlie Sheen on 20/20. I am pretty sure I am going to have nightmares, for the rest of my life. I feel sad for him.

Second Day- Sore

I decided to go to the Outlets last night. Not the one I went to the day before the Expo, but ones near them. They were awesome! They are called the Orlando Premium Outlets.  They have Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, BCBG, and Neiman Marcus. I ended up buying a top at BCBG that was over $100 originally for $9.95! And this cute little dress from Neiman Marcus that was originally $245 for $70!
I actually love shopping by myself, but I ALWAYS send a picture of something on me to my sister before buying it. She is totally honest, and will tell me if she loves or hates something- I almost bought a top that I wasn't sure about and she told me she wasn't crazy about it, and I agreed!

Today I went to Yoga at LA Fitness. My left ankle is kind of sore, so I put the brace back on. I woke up knowing the class was at 9:45 AM so I had a quick breakfast of strawberries, blueberries, greek yogurt, and granola and got ready for the class. I got to LA Fitness and they must have just cleaned the studio but it REAKED of bleach and cleaning products. My family uses all natural cleaning products, so the smell really was strong. It gave me a little bit of a headache, and it was hard to concentrate during yoga with the smell. Also, all the lights in this room were kept on and it was distracting. It wasn't the best class I've ever been to, but at least I got some stretching in! I considered staying and doing some strength training but my ankle was bothering me so I just came back. I am drinking a protein shake right now with milk, blueberries and flax seeds. Yum!
This is Scampy yesterday on the way to the vet. I love this puppy! My friend Natalie thought it was funny I called Scampy a puppy because when she got to the house she said "HE IS NOT A PUPPY", but he's so well behaved and cute he reminds me of a puppy! Also, he is a old soul. I know it, he was so good at the Vet and just so sweet!
This was the pasta I ate last night. I'm already craving it again for today!
I don't know what I am going to do today quite yet. I want to check out Winter Park, Florida.  From what I hear it is a upscale area with cute restaurants and places to check out. I am picking up my little brother from the airport tonight around 10:45 PM- tomorrow we go to DISNEY!
